The Vacuum Type PCR® Socket is specially designed to enable testing without applying pressure to the top of the package, making it suitable for devices that do not allow top-side loading.
Conventional test sockets rely on top-side pressure to establish electrical contact. However, for devices with sensitive structures on the package surface—such as image sensors—the upper pressure lid can interfere with testing.
Developed to address this limitation, the Vacuum Type PCR® Socket eliminates the need for top-side pressure, making it ideal for testing sensitive devices including image sensors. In addition, the lidless design reduces socket cost, offering a more cost-efficient test solution.
