Environmental Policy

Environmental Philosophy

JMT Inc. recognizes at all times the importance of environmental preservation in all business activities related to the development, manufacturing, sales, and services of “core components for semiconductors,” complies with environmental laws and regulations, and actively engages in environmental preservation activities. In addition, we promote the reduction, reuse, and recycling of resources.

Policy Statement

Based on its Management Policy, JMT Inc. establishes the following in order to remain a company that is respected and trusted by customers and society.

1 We recognize that the company’s various activities, products, and services have an impact on the environment, ensure the environmental safety of local communities, customers, and employees, and seek coexistence and mutual prosperity with society.
2 We maintain and improve the company’s environmental management system, promote continuous environmental improvement, and strive for environmental conservation, environmental protection, and the prevention of environmental pollution.
3 We comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations related to the company’s environmental aspects, as well as other requirements to which the company has agreed.
4 We advance proactive environmental initiatives, actively disclose information, broadly incorporate the opinions of society, and aim to enhance corporate value.
5 We work on energy saving, resource saving, waste reduction, maintaining zero emissions, and thorough chemical substance management.
6 We do not use as raw materials any conflict minerals that may directly or indirectly provide funding or benefits to armed groups engaged in inhumane acts.
7 We document, implement, and maintain procedures for activities related to environmental impacts, and ensure that they are thoroughly communicated to all persons working in or for the organization.
8 We broadly disclose this Environmental Policy and strive for appropriate information sharing.

Responsible Minerals Sourcing Policy

JMT Inc. regards as a serious social issue the mineral problems involving tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, cobalt, mica, and other minerals that may become a source of funding for organizations connected to various risks and misconduct, including human rights abuses such as child labor, poor working conditions, environmental destruction, and corruption in conflict-affected and high-risk areas. In order to fulfill its social responsibility, JMT Inc. promotes responsible minerals sourcing throughout the entire supply chain.

In order to specifically promote these responsible minerals sourcing initiatives, JMT Inc. has established the following policy actions.

1 Based on the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, we will establish an internal management system for responsible minerals sourcing.
2 We will adopt the survey template of the industry standard RMI (Responsible Minerals Initiative) and, with the cooperation of our direct suppliers, conduct supply chain investigations and risk assessments tracing back through the supply chain.
3 When risks are identified, we will implement corrective actions.
4 In response to the requests and expectations of stakeholders, including customers, we will report, as necessary, on identified risks and corrective actions based on evaluation criteria.
5 Through these activities, we aim to identify smelters and refiners and procure from smelters and refiners that have undergone audits and obtained clean certification.
